Welcome to Roots & Radiance LLC.

My name is Samantha Martin, and I am the founder of Roots & Radiance. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), nursing student, and herbal hair care formulator with a passion for healthy hair, education, and holistic wellness.

Roots & Radiance was created from a desire to provide simple, plant-based hair care products that support healthy hair and scalp care while eliminating many of the harsh ingredients commonly found in traditional hair products. I believe hair care should be intentional, effective, and rooted in both education and wellness.

One of the biggest misconceptions in the beauty industry is that protective styles alone create healthy hair. While protective styles can be a helpful tool, the real hair underneath still requires consistent care, hydration, cleansing, and maintenance. At Roots & Radiance, we believe healthy hair starts long before the style itself.

My goal is not only to provide quality products but also to help educate our community about healthy hair practices, moisture retention, scalp health, and the importance of caring for the hair beneath the braids, wigs, weaves, twists, and other protective styles.

Our products are thoughtfully crafted with botanical ingredients such as rosemary, horsetail, hibiscus, amla, bhringraj, and neem to help support moisture retention, scalp care, and overall hair wellness. We focus on plant-based ingredients while avoiding many harsh chemicals that can contribute to dryness, buildup, and unnecessary stress on the hair and scalp.
